Why I Love This Snack

It’s the easiest way to kick off a Greek-inspired dinner. No cooking required—just good olives, a little citrus, and fresh herbs. It looks thoughtful but takes almost no time.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed olives (Kalamata, Castelvetrano, etc.)

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Zest of ½ lemon or orange

  • A few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine olives with olive oil, citrus zest, and herbs.

  2. Let sit at room temp for at least 10 minutes to let the flavors mingle.

  3. Serve as-is or alongside marcona almonds or sliced cucumbers.


Hosting Tip

  • Put these out while you finish up the main dishes—people love having something to snack on, and it sets the tone for the meal.
