Why I Love This Recipe

This margarita is crisp, refreshing, and not too sweet. The fresh cucumber and lime make it perfect for warm afternoons or easy entertaining. It’s light, bright, and totally sippable.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

  • ¾ oz triple sec (or Cointreau)

  • 2–3 cucumber slices, plus more for garnish

  • ½ oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)

  • Optional: pinch of salt or chili salt rim

  • Ice

Instructions

1. Muddle: In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices with lime juice to release the juices.

2. Shake: Add tequila, triple sec, agave, and a handful of ice. Shake well for 15–20 seconds.

3. Serve: Strain into a glass filled with ice (or serve up in a chilled glass). Garnish with a cucumber slice or lime wedge. Add a chili-salt rim for a spicy twist.

Notes

  • Make it spicy: Add a thin jalapeño slice when muddling.

  • Make it a pitcher: Multiply everything by 4 and serve over ice in a large pitcher for easy pouring.

  • Prefer less sweet? Skip or reduce the agave syrup and lean into the cucumber-lime combo.
