Why I Love This Recipe
This twist on a classic espresso martini skips the cream but keeps things bold, smooth, and just sweet enough. The hazelnut liqueur adds a cozy, nutty finish, and the espresso bean garnish gives it that signature bar-style flair—perfect for a dinner party or a night in.
Ingredients
1.5 oz vodka
1 oz freshly brewed espresso (hot, not chilled)
0.75 oz Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur)
0.5 oz coffee liqueur (like Kahlúa or Mr Black)
Ice
3 espresso beans (for garnish)
Instructions
Brew your espresso and let it sit for about 30 seconds (still hot is best).
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add vodka, Frangelico, coffee liqueur, and espresso.
Shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until the shaker is frosty.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Top with 3 espresso beans.
Notes
Fresh, hot espresso is key to that creamy frothy top—don’t use cold brew for this one.
Shake hard! That’s what creates the signature foam.
No Frangelico? Skip it for a classic espresso martini. Just increase the vodka to 2 oz and keep everything else the same.
Want to batch it for a party? Just multiply the ingredients and shake in smaller portions to keep the froth strong.
