Why I Love This Recipe

It’s refreshing, festive, and couldn’t be easier to make. We started making this as a spin on Jameson lemonade, but over time, we’ve leaned into the southern vibe and now use Elijah Craig bourbon instead. It pairs perfectly with our Chicago dogs and makes your red, white, and blue setup feel a little more grown-up (but still fun).

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Elijah Craig bourbon

  • 4–6 oz lemonade (fresh or store-bought)

  • Handful of fresh blueberries and sliced strawberries

  • Lemon wheel, for garnish

  • Ice

  • Optional: splash of sparkling water for fizz

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass with ice.

  2. Pour in bourbon and lemonade.

  3. Stir in fresh berries and top with a lemon wheel.

  4. Add a splash of sparkling water if you like a little fizz.

  5. Serve cold and sip slow!

Notes

To batch for a crowd: Mix 2 cups bourbon + 4 cups lemonade in a pitcher. Add fruit just before serving and keep it chilled.
